A significant part of Eyezon Music's production prowess stems from our early experiences D.J.'ing in clubs up and down the East coast. While the term "Remixing" has only recently come to define the process of crafting new versions of songs based on the originals,  for decades D.J.'s around the world have been keeping dance floors groovin' with live remixing.

Writer Tim Prochak defines it this way:

"Remixing . . . is a "version" [of a song] that is an interpretation of another song, recognizable as the other song but still markedly different."

In practice though, the term is largely indefinable given the broad sonic palette and "creative license" remixer's use when practicing their craft. The best way to understand and appreciate the term (assuming you don't already), is to compare a "remixed" version of a song to the original. On the right you'll find two versions of the Mary's First song "Without You Here" for comparison.

Doing a "remix" remains one of the most enjoyable and rewarding production aspects we get involved with here at Eyezon Music. When commissioned by an artist to produce a remix of their song, we consider it to be both an honor and a privilege - working tirelessly to earn the client's trust by producing a world-class remix. If you're considering giving  your tracks the "remix" treatment, we encourage you to contact us to explore the possibilities.
